Visiting address. Gåröström, Gnosjö

Here you will see an old metal factory that is widely known in Sweden as a unique museum of its kind.

Visiting this museum means entering a metal factory, where time has stood still for more than 60 years. The more than 100 year old power station produces electricity and power for the shaft lines, which run about 35 different machines. No other machines, tools or equipment have been brought here, and thus the museum is in its original state from 1974, when the factory closed down.

Electrical power for the museum is supplied by a turbine and a generator from the end of the 1890's.

Hyltén's Industrial Museum is shown to the public by our skilful guides, who tell the history of the museum, turn bells and knobs in the lathe and then polish them. School bells, ship bells, mortars, hangers and pieces of jewellery are made here, and all these products are exclusively for sale at the museum and at the Gnosjö Tourist Information Office.länk till annan webbplats

The whole visit should take an hour and a half.
